Click and Be Grateful

With any luck, your September routines are up and running. Now that you're back from vacation, work has resumed and schedules have been established. Kids are settling into waking up early and going to school. Lunches get packed and homework gets done.

It feels so busy. It has required a few weeks of focused effort to get everyone moving again after summer. And when we exert so much effort, sometimes we forget to be thankful.

Today, whenever you hear a "click," pause and be grateful. The kids run out of the house and the door clicks: be thankful for your home, your kids' health, and everyone's safety. You shut the car door, or the bus door closes behind you: be grateful for freedom, mobility, infrastructure, and transportation. The door at your workplace closes: give thanks for good work, income, and opportunity.

With each click today, pause, look around, and give thanks. You are blessed. Life is good. Say:

"Thank you."
