Seeing, hearing, and experiencing water in its natural state-falling from the sky or rolling in the waves of the ocean-is not always possible. But water as an elemental power exists everywhere, and we can tap into its energy through music.

French composer Claude Debussy was able to imitate the melody of water with the piano. Today, on his birthday, use his music to enhance a water-element meditation. Listen to Debussy's "Deux Arabesques L. 66- No. 1 Andante con moto" (available for free on YouTube and Spotify). See the notes as water-falling like rain, tripping over stones, flowing in a rocky bed. Let the melody guide what you see. Hint: Keep the piece on loop so that you can continue or repeat the meditation for as long as you need.
