Banishing a Negative Body Image

Now, as we head into bikini season, picnic season, festival season, we often experience what feels like "judgment season" if we do not measure down to our culture's very narrow view of beauty. Today's Crone's Sickle moon in Taurus, a sign of sensuousness and health, can provide great power to dispel our negative body image attitudes.

First, take some time to think about all the people you love and how different their bodies are. Allow that love to flow to yourself, along with any anger or pain you feel over our culture's judgments. Light a black candle and chant:

"Judgment and shame, begone
dark blame-you cannot stick to
me. I'm healthy and strong and I
belong-by my will, so mote it be!"

Continue chanting as the candle burns down and you begin to feel empowered. Blessed be.
