Healing for Those Who Heal Others

Today is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, an English nurse who founded the first secular nursing school and helped pave the way for nursing to become an established profession. Today, in honor of Florence, focus on sending healing to all who have dedicated themselves to helping heal others.
Gather a purple candle, an appropriate candle holder, and a healing oil such as lavender. Hold the candle between your hands, and focus on the intention of sending healing to all those in the medical and healing arts professions. Anoint the candle with the oil and then light the candle and recite the following incantation:

"Candle flame, burning bright, surround those who heal in healing light. So mote it be!"

Visualize a growing, radiant purple healing energy emanating from the candle as it burns. It is important to remember that even healers sometimes need healing.
