Season of Lights

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Bayberry

As we approach the depths of winter and the longest night of the year, the urge to kindle light is strong. Bringing lights into one's home at this time of year not only honors the season's festive nature but lifts the mood and creates a warm, inspiring atmosphere.
Hang strings of lights across the tops of doorwars, around windows, and over bookshelves. Simple white lights provide light and a gentle glow, but you can also use specific colors for special effects: green for prosperity, blue for calm and healing, red for fiery energy, gold for the season's solar implications. You might also fill your home with candles of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Arrange candles on mirrors to magnify their effects through the illusion of reflection. Enjoy the luminous radiance and be filled with the light of wisdom, intuition, or other positive energies.
