LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Finding a Parking Space

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Narcissus

I don't know about you, but in the city where I live there's no place to park. At least it seems that way. You can invoke Asphalta, who was invented by Morgan Grey and Julia Penelope in their 1988 book, Found Goddesses:

"Hail, Asphalta, full of grace:
Help me find a parking place."

But if Asphalta takes too long to reply, you can use the Parking Space Word: Zzzaaaaazzz.
As you turn the corner to your street, take a deep breath, say the Word, and be specific:

"Zzzaaaaazzz. A parking space near my building, please."

As you circle through the parking lot, take a deep breath and say:

"Zzzaaaaazzz. A space near the door, please."

A space will open up. It may not be quite where you want it, and it may take two or three passes, so keep your eyes open.
Remember to say thank you!
