A popular technique is to imagine strands of energy woven tightly within the outer walls of the structure. You can also visualize energy running through interior walls, especially around rooms that are important to protect, like your bedroom. These can be constructed with layers of elemental or other types of energy. If you use elemental energy, be sure to have all four elements-fire, water, earth, and air. Other sorts of energy are from the Sun, the Moon, a favorite large tree that grows near your house, or a river. More complicated techniques can be employed but can often be more difficult to visualize successfully. Visualized wards and shields should be recharged or otherwise maintained on a regular basis, as they can fade over time. |
