Witches work well in the realms of mind and spirit but often neglect their physical bodies. Shapeshifting is a magical way to balance mind, body, and spirit. You can perform this exercise outside or at the gym on the treadmill. Begin by warming up for a few minutes, moving gently but with intent. Focus your eyes directly in front of you, keeping your gaze very soft. Find yourself beginning to lose awareness of your surroundings. Don't allow distractions to throw you off. Increase your pace and start to breathe rhythmically. Imagine you are on an African savannah. The air around you is thick, hot, and moist. You can feel the heat rising as the Sun travels overhead. You begin to quicken your run as you spot a gazelle just ahead, leaping through the tall, dry grass. Your heart pumps harder as you move like a hunting lioness, taut and streamlined. Concentrate on the movement of this awesome cat, elegant, graceful, agile, and strong. Visualize its well-muscled body. Become one with her powerful form as you run faster now in pursuit of your prey. You can see the gazelle bounding, springing high into the air. Run, breathing deeply into the belly. Let the power of your breath carry you as far as you want to go.
