Positive Mercury Energy Spell

Wednesday is ruled by the planet Mercury, which is concerned with matters of business, travel, and communication. All can go awry when Mercury goes "retrograde." Due to orbital mechanics, the planet seems to move backwards for a while, as seen from Earth. During this time, Mercury's energy is warped or unavailable. So here's a spell to store up positive Mercury energy for use as a shield during retrograde periods. You will need a silver coin (use a "Mercury dime" if you can get one) and a blue candle. Place the coin on your altar and light the candle. Then say:

Mercury, god of all swift things,
Lend our tongues grace and our thoughts wings.
Let business soar and travel fly,
When you dance backward in the sky.

Focusing on the coin, pour energy into it, emphasizing ease of motion and communication. When finished, blow out the candle. Carry the coin while Mercury is retrograde.
