It is sometimes also called "fairy's thimbles" or in Scottish Gaelic Lus-nam-ban-sith, the "plant of the fairy women." Certain parts of the foxglove can be used for healing remedies, but they must be used very carefully. The plant was also associated with Witches and with a variety of magical spells for love, protection, and success.
