Today is George Washington's birthday, considered by many to be the father of the United States. Today, we give thanks to all of our fathers-our biological fathers, ancestral fathers, cultural fathers, and spiritual fathers. George Washington was reputed to be exceptionally honest. Today let us make a renewed commitment to honesty. If you have a picture of George Washington, such as on a coin or bill, or a picture of one of your ancestors, hold it over your heart, and say:

O father of my soul, I thank you for your love, guidance, and wisdom. Guide me as I navigate through chaos. Show me how to be strong. Help me to be honest. Lead me to victory.

Resolve to be completely honest today.
