Color of the day: Silver Incense of the day: Rose In this date in 1488, seer Ursula Sontheis (later known as Mother Shipton) was born. Around the same time as Nostradamus, she received prophecies that she set down in verse. Many came true in her lifetime, and some say that her prophecies are still coming true today. Shipton became famous and incurred the ire of important people who were the recipients of unflattering prophecies. Several of her predictions about Cardinal Woolsey came true, and he vowed to have her burnt at the stake. Fortunately, she never was-perhaps kept safe by her popularity.
