As we arrive at this year's midpoint, it's time to take a break and think about what's really important to us. So take a time-out with this spell.
You'll need a small battery-powered clock, a sheet of paper, a pen, and a yellow candle. Darken the room and remove the battery from the clock. Let time stand still-this is time for you. Light the candle. On the sheet of paper, make a list of all the goals you've achieved so far this year and a list of those you haven't met. Don't feel guilty about not accomplishing everything. Gaze at the flame. Begin to feel empowered. Hold your paper and say: "I'll only accomplish what I can, Without guilt, without shame." When you feel ready, turn on the lights, open the windows, snuff out the candle, and set the clock to the correct time. Face the rest of the year feeling in control. |
