As we know, the days of the week are ruled by the old gods. Monday is ruled by the moon, which is best known for its changeability. We can look up in the sky and see it every night, waxing or waning.
Sometimes we are alarmed by change. If you're facing a change that alarms you, go outside on a Monday night, contemplate the moon for a minute or two, then ask the moon or any god or goddess who rules the moon (such as Hecate, Diana, Mani, or Chandra) to prepare you for change: "Blessed (moon or goddess or god), help me understand the change I see ahead and prepare for it. As you move through your phases, you change every night, yet even when part of you is dark, you are always whole! Help me to remember that I am always whole and that change can be positive." |
