According to old weather lore, the weather on this day foretold the type of weather to be expected for the summer. Here's a way you can do some magical weather forecasting of your own. It's fun and can be surprising, too. You'll need your pendulum and a map. Use a professional map; a map in an atlas would be perfect. First hold your pendulum as you think of your magical intent. Then hold the pendulum over one area of the map at a time. Ask questions about the weather that can be answered with yes or no. For example, you may hold the pendulum over the East Coast as you ask: "Will there be many hurricanes this year?"
Begin to move the pendulum over that area. Does the answer begin to change or stay the same? Record your observations and check back to see how accurate you were. |
