September is upon us, and around the world people of all ages are headed to a new school year, from grade school to grad school. As the weather cools, we tend to stay indoors more, which makes this a good time to concentrate on reading, studying, and other sedentary pursuits. Of course, we can still practice indoors, too! If you're like many Pagans, you have some subject or another that you've been meaning to look into more, but just haven't made the time. It may be something directly related to magic and spirituality or it may be an auxiliary topic such as history, mythology, or psychology, among others. Or you may have a new magical paradigm you want to try out. There might even be a deity or spirit who's been trying to get your attention. Any of these can be a suitable focus for the coming months; take today to start planning your studies. Make a list of what you've been meaning to get around to, then pick a topic and run with it. Hit the library and the Internet, and perhaps even find relevant groups online or in person. Make the most of your winter hibernation!
