Incense of the day: Musk Put all of your cleaning supplies, plus your list of chores to do, on the floor of the most used room in the house-maybe the kitchen, maybe the family room. Cast a circle by sweeping around the supplies with a broom, starting at the east. As you sweep, visualize the house becoming clean, and also everyone in the house becoming happy, cheerful, and healthy. You can use various cleaning implements to cast a more elaborate circle, if you desire. Invoke your favorite goddess of the home-for example, Hestia, the Roman goddess of the hearth-and ask her to bless your work and your house. After you have finished the preparation, get to cleaning. After you're done all the cleaning for the day, thank the goddess before you put away the cleaning equipment. |
