Hebrew is sometimes referred to as the "sacred" language of the West and compared with Sanskrit for the East. There are no vowels per se in Hebrew, only diacritical marks over the consonants performing that function. In addition, there are no numbers in Hebrew, but letters alone and in combination perform that function. The number basis provides a system in which words of comparable value have related meanings. It also provides the magical meanings of Hebrew names.
